Senior Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Madrid, Spain; flexible hybrid work environment.

Base salary: EUR 60,000–100,000 per year for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation and location-specific benefits.

What you will do

• Develop security requirements, architecture blueprints, and processes for application and solution landscapes.
• Review, advise on, and approve security concepts for digital solutions across the business.
• Build relationships with architecture decision-makers and drive adoption of security practices across IT departments.
• Lead complex security discussions with multiple stakeholders and provide expert guidance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and their impact on the security posture.
• Advance technical and organizational security competencies and adapt to evolving cybersecurity trends.

Requirements

• Significant knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and standard methods.
• Proven experience defining and delivering enterprise-scale security architectures.
• Deep expertise in several areas, including network security, application security, identity and access management, endpoint or mobile security, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of application and service development, cloud-native processes, and related security challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to lead complex discussions in a consulting and mediating manner.
• Experience with security automation, DevSecOps, regulatory compliance frameworks, and security risk assessment methodologies.

Nice to have

• Microsoft cloud certifications, CISSP, CCSP, SANS GIAC, or similar qualifications.
• Experience in financial services or reinsurance.
