Product Manager (On Demand Delivery Execution) (On-Demand Logistics): Defining and delivering the roadmap for back-end systems that power scalable on-demand delivery execution for a network of 20,000 last-mile drivers with an accent on real-time logistics, operational efficiency, and driver and customer experience. Focus on translating business requirements into technical initiatives, aligning cross-functional teams, and using delivery metrics to guide prioritization and product decisions.
Location: Cape Town, South Africa; hybrid working model

What you will do
- Define and drive the roadmap for features and services powering the on-demand logistics execution platform.
- Improve back-end systems supporting scalable delivery execution for 20,000 last-mile drivers.
- Work with engineering, design, operations, executives, drivers, and logistics stakeholders to improve driver and customer experiences.
- Translate business needs into measurable initiatives, requirements, OKRs, and business requirement specifications.
- Define and monitor metrics including delivery times, driver utilization, and cost per delivery.
- Coordinate projects from design through release, managing timelines, scope, risks, QA collaboration, and user acceptance testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a related role.
- Ability to define and execute detailed product roadmaps in on-demand delivery or logistics environments.
- Understanding of real-time logistics, driver management, operational efficiency, back-end systems, APIs, route optimization, real-time tracking, and trip allocation logic.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with agile or iterative project management and development environments is beneficial; logistics, on-demand delivery, or e-commerce experience is highly preferred.
