TL;DR
Head of Network Services (Enterprise Network Infrastructure): Owning the strategy, architecture, reliability, modernization, and operations of a global network estate across on-premises, co-location, cloud, and third-party environments with an accent on hybrid-cloud connectivity, network security, resilience, and automation. Focus on defining multi-year platform strategy, leading network transformation and reliability initiatives, and managing managers and senior technical specialists across a highly regulated financial services environment.
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Hybrid work is available, with up to one day per week from home.
Base salary for Maryland: $201,000–$342,000 per year, with potential discretionary bonus eligibility.

What you will do
- Own and execute the global network and connectivity strategy across LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, cloud networking, co-location, data centers, and third-party integrations.
- Define target-state architecture and lead modernization initiatives, including cloud and hybrid-cloud networking, data center exits, infrastructure as code, standardization, and technical debt reduction.
- Ensure global network availability, performance, resilience, recoverability, disaster recovery, and operational health.
- Drive automation, telemetry, observability, reliability metrics, incident analysis, and durable corrective actions.
- Lead managers, senior engineers, and technical specialists, including organizational design, capacity planning, coaching, recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.
- Manage strategic vendors, budgets, contracts, cost optimization, and senior stakeholder decisions on network risk and investment.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience modernizing and operating large-scale enterprise network infrastructure.
- Experience leading complex global technology initiatives, including data center migrations, cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, and always-on infrastructure.
- Experience deploying and supporting cloud platforms at scale; AWS experience is preferred.
- Deep expertise in LAN, WAN, MPLS, Metropolitan Ethernet, wireless, voice networks, hybrid-cloud connectivity, direct connect, and express route.
- Experience with network security modernization, zero trust, network segmentation, DDoS mitigation, next-generation firewalls, remote access, and cloud security.
- Experience with DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, Agile, observability, telemetry, and AIOps in enterprise environments.
Nice to have
- Experience in highly regulated financial services or trading environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Cisco CCIE, CISSP, AWS Security, or AWS Advanced Networking certification.
