2027 BrainBox AI Intern (AI)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; onsite five days per week

Hourly base pay: $22.50–$30.00

What you will do

• Support AI projects across product management, controls integration, and AI engineering.
• Track, document, and assess the readiness of AI models and control algorithms.
• Automate workflows, optimize internal processes, and contribute to product lifecycle improvements.
• Support competitive assessments, Voice of Customer analysis, product commercialization, and go-to-market preparation.
• Map building data and deploy AI-driven HVAC optimization.
• Perform energy analysis, assess building performance, and identify efficiency opportunities.

Requirements

• Pursuing a BS/BA in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or a similar field, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• At least one internship or other work experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and initiative skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with AI concepts, software development, building systems, or energy technologies.
• French-English bilingualism is required; full professional proficiency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, SQL, Jira, Asana, or similar tools.
• Leadership experience through campus involvement, team projects, sports, residence advising, or previous work.
