Quality Engineer (Robotics)

hirify.global develops autonomous underwater vehicles and is scaling its S6 and S12 product lines from prototype to production.

What you will do

• Own the fundamentals of the Quality Management System across the S6 and S12 product lines.
• Translate manufacturing, supplier, and customer input into root-caused corrective actions.
• Maintain contract-compliant quality documentation and keep both product lines audit-ready.
• Build and strengthen QMS processes, tooling, and supplier quality practices.
• Provide closed-loop Design for Manufacturing feedback to design engineering.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Experience applying root-cause problem-solving processes and engineering knowledge to quality decisions.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer or contract specifications.
• Working knowledge of AS9102 and familiarity with CMM inspection data.
• Some supplier quality experience, including audits and corrective action.
• U.S. Person status and a B.S. degree or higher in an engineering discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience, are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in startup environments or standing up a QMS at an early-stage or scaling company.
• Experience with unmanned or autonomous systems, subsea technologies, or robotics.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification.
• Familiarity with statistical process control.
