Summer 2027 Regional Banking Internship

Location: Office-based in Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Cleveland, Denver, Grand Rapids, Macon, or Pittsburgh, United States

Compensation: $23 per hour, plus paid holidays and eligibility for Huntington’s retirement savings plan.

What you will do

• Collaborate with managers and teams on meaningful business and department initiatives.
• Support projects involving market research, portfolio analysis, credit and financial analysis, and regional market strategy.
• Contribute to business development, client relationship management, client presentations, and treasury management initiatives.
• Provide data-driven recommendations, process improvements, and solutions that strengthen relationships with businesses and communities.
• Participate in professional development sessions, executive leadership discussions, the innovation project, volunteer activities, and internal events.
• Work independently and collaboratively while maintaining a professional business presence.

Requirements

• Must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.
• High school graduation and enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate university program, with at least one academic term remaining after the summer program.
• Teamwork and leadership demonstrated through extracurricular activities or work experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently and collaboratively.
• Interest in banking, commercial banking, financial analysis, client relationship management, business development, or regional economic growth.

Nice to have

• Coursework or a major in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, banking and financial services, management, marketing, data analytics, entrepreneurship, or a related discipline.
• Coursework in commercial banking, financial statement analysis, business analytics, statistics, risk management, strategic management, sales and relationship management, or operations management.
• Sound judgment, logical and critical thinking, attention to detail, and professional composure in a dynamic environment.
