2027 Energy Engineering Intern

Location: San Antonio, Texas; on-site five days per week. The posting includes multiple opportunities, some of which may be remote or hybrid at facilities across North America.

Salary: $22.50–$31.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to diagnose energy opportunities and deliver projects addressing customer needs.
• Perform technical analysis, project reviews, risk assessments, and technical qualification activities.
• Conduct building walk-throughs, field energy audits, site surveys, benchmarking, and client interviews.
• Identify architectural, mechanical, and electrical energy conservation measures in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
• Analyze system-performance data, investigate trends and deviations, and define measurement and verification methods.
• Develop benchmark summaries and improve reporting capabilities, including software usability and new technology investigations.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, preferably Energy, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, throughout the internship.
• Must have completed at least the sophomore or second year before the internship begins.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• Hold a valid driver's license for at least 12 months and provide proof of insurance.
• Have no major or frequent traffic violations, including recent DUI, hit-and-run, license suspension, reckless or careless driving, or multiple preventable infractions or collisions.
