Geotechnical Engineer I

What you will do

• Develop design submittals for deep foundation and ground improvement systems with senior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Prepare drawings and supporting calculations using geotechnical and structural engineering principles.
• Apply analytical methods and computer modeling software to designs involving rigid inclusions, aggregate piers, soil mixing, grouting, and dynamic compaction.
• Assist with deep foundation and other geostructural system designs as needed.
• Support preliminary engineering for prospective projects during bidding and conduct QA/QC reviews during production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural or geotechnical engineering.
• 0–3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Mathcad.
• Strong attention to detail and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license for the vehicle types driven and an acceptable driving record are required.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer certification (PE).
