Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; onsite role.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Provide customer support and infrastructure services for SIGINT and cyber solutions.
• Build conventional REST services and responsive software solutions.
• Develop across frontend and backend components using Python, JavaScript, JSON, and CSS.
• Query MongoDB and Elasticsearch and work in Docker and Compose environments.
• Collaborate using GitLab and Jira while responding quickly to customer and mission needs.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• At least seven years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an additional five years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience with Python, FASApi, JavaScript, JSON, CSS, REST services, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Docker, and Compose.
• Comfort working across frontend and backend development and using GitLab and Jira.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and a motivated, eager-to-learn approach.

Nice to have

• Backend experience with Golang and Protobuf.
• Frontend experience with React, SASS/LESS, and Leaflet.
• Elasticsearch index management and Kubernetes experience.
