Описание вакансии

TL;DR
Blockchain Engineer (Go/Rust/Solidity): Researching and building blockchain protocols, modules, algorithms, and smart-contract infrastructure for institutional real-world-asset adoption with an accent on cryptography, distributed systems, and protocol design. Focus on validating proof-of-concept implementations, developing testing strategies, and communicating complex technical decisions across engineering and blockchain communities.

About this role.

Mantle is hiring a Blockchain Engineer to research and build blockchain protocols, modules, algorithms, and related infrastructure for institutional real-world-asset adoption. The role covers technical design documentation, testing strategies, proof-of-concept development, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team and broader community. Candidates need 1–5 years of relevant experience plus strong foundations in algorithms, distributed systems, cryptography, and blockchain platforms. Core technical requirements include Go, Rust, Solidity, and smart-contract development, while prior contributions to Ethereum, Solana, Optimism, Cosmos, OP Stack, or ZK-rollup ecosystems are advantageous. The remote position is limited to APAC and requires bilingual English and Chinese communication skills.

Sample interview questions

Describe a blockchain protocol or smart-contract system you designed or contributed to. What were the main architectural decisions?

I would explain the problem, chain environment, trust assumptions, and protocol architecture before detailing choices around state management, consensus dependencies, contract interfaces, upgradeability, and security controls. I would also quantify outcomes such as lower gas usage, improved throughput, or reduced failure rates.

How would you validate a proof of concept for a new blockchain module before proposing production adoption?

I would first define measurable hypotheses and threat assumptions, then build a minimal prototype with deterministic tests, integration tests, and adversarial cases. I would benchmark performance, assess security and operational risks, document trade-offs, and present a recommendation based on evidence rather than prototype success alone.

What security risks do you prioritize when reviewing Solidity smart contracts?

I start with authorization and access-control boundaries, reentrancy, unsafe external calls, arithmetic and accounting correctness, oracle assumptions, signature handling, upgradeability risks, and denial-of-service vectors. I combine manual review with unit tests, fuzzing, invariant testing, static analysis, and independent audit preparation.

How have you used Go or Rust in distributed or blockchain-related systems?

A strong answer should describe concrete services or protocol components, such as node modules, indexers, transaction-processing services, networking layers, or cryptographic integrations. It should also cover concurrency design, error handling, testing, profiling, and the trade-offs that led to selecting Go or Rust.

How would you communicate a complex protocol decision to both engineers and community stakeholders in English and Chinese?

I would create a concise bilingual design summary covering the problem, proposed solution, alternatives, security assumptions, expected impact, and open questions. For engineers, I would include implementation details and test plans; for community stakeholders, I would focus on benefits, risks, timelines, and transparent documentation.

Who we are

Mantle is the entry point for institutions and traditional finance to access real-world assets on-chain. Backed by the world’s largest community-owned treasury of over $4B, Mantle combines institutional-grade infrastructure with the scale and credibility to bring RWAs into Web3 with confidence.

Mantle positions itself as the gateway for institutions and TradFi to move into RWAs on-chain. With $4B+ in community-owned assets, Mantle combines credibility, liquidity and scale with institutional infrastructure to support large-scale adoption. The ecosystem is anchored by $MNT in the Bybit network, and built out through subsidiaries mETH, fBTC, MI4 and MantleX. This is complemented by Mantle Network’s partnerships with leading issuers and protocols such as Agora AUSD, Ethena USDe, Ondo USDY and EigenLayer.
