Internal IT Auditor (Cybersecurity)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with an expectation of at least three office days per week

Salary: €38,000–€63,000 gross annual base salary for a full-time role, plus potential performance-based annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Participate in IT and cybersecurity audits end to end, from scoping and planning through testing, documentation, reporting, and presenting findings.
• Develop testing plans, execute audit procedures, and document results.
• Assess complex technology risks, controls, processes, and underlying technologies.
• Collaborate with audit colleagues to deliver assigned work and contribute to overall audit outcomes.
• Work with IT teams and stakeholders across the business to build effective working relationships.
• Expand the use of data analytics, automation, and risk-focused audit techniques.

Requirements

• More than two years of experience in IT auditing, IT risk management, or practical IT and cybersecurity work.
• Understanding of IT risks and controls, relevant frameworks, technologies, concepts, and processes.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Critical thinking, clear communication, collaboration skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Ability to work from the Madrid office at least three days per week under the hybrid model.
• CV submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CSX-P, or CIA, or an interest in working toward one.
• Experience with cloud services and related security principles.
