Analytics Consultant (Investment Analytics)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; extensive visits to client sites are required.

What you will do

• Maintain and grow client relationships for analytics and risk management products.
• Manage account plans and engage with stakeholders at all levels of client organizations.
• Deliver client education, product training, demonstrations, workshops, seminars, and webinars.
• Act as a subject matter expert on products, methodologies, risk models, optimization, and performance attribution.
• Identify solutions and product usage opportunities that create client value and support up-selling and cross-selling.
• Collaborate with sales, client service, marketing, research, and product management teams while monitoring industry and product developments.

Requirements

• Fluency in Japanese and English is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role, such as quantitative research, trading, or risk management.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Understanding of risk models, optimization techniques, performance attribution, and global equity and fixed-income markets.
• Knowledge of the Japanese investment industry, including broker-dealers, asset managers, and pension funds.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field; Python familiarity is expected.

Nice to have

• MBA, master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, or PhD.
• CFA charterholder or CMA qualification.
