Full-Stack Developer (RxNorm)

Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States; full-time work with the USCD team in Bethesda, MD

Salary: $140,000–$220,000 per year, commensurate with experience and location.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications supporting RxNorm.
• Build frontend functionality with Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Implement backend services and application logic with Python, Django, Java, and Ruby.
• Work with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases to support standardized medication data and interoperability.
• Use Git or SVN, GitLab, Bamboo, and CI/CD pipeline tools throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate within an Agile software development process and apply test-driven development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a scientific field such as engineering or physics, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of full-stack web application development experience.
• Current experience with Python/Django, Angular, JavaScript, CSS, Ruby, HTML5, and Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science principles.
• Experience with software engineering tools such as JIRA, Agile methodology, and test-driven development.
• Experience with cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
