Senior Rust Engineer (Blockchain)

Location: Asia; onsite or remote

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend systems, services, and APIs.
• Build highly reliable services capable of handling significant traffic fluctuations.
• Monitor backend performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges.
• Deploy software to production environments and support backend reliability.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong backend systems foundation.
• Proficiency in Rust, including ownership, lifetimes, and safety boundaries; or strong C++ experience.
• Experience with Tokio or async-std and asynchronous, multithreaded concurrent programming.
• Knowledge of system-level performance optimization, caching, memory pools, object reuse, and benchmarking tools such as perf, FlameGraph, Cachegrind, and Criterion.
• Experience with Linux, production deployment, and network technologies including TCP, UDP Multicast, epoll, and io_uring.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• High-performance systems development and performance optimization with C++ or Rust.
• Experience extending PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB databases.
• Experience building trading systems, exchange platforms, or financial and security-constrained systems.
