TL;DR
Communications and Stakeholder Engagement [DOE0018017] (Environmental Management): Providing public affairs, stakeholder engagement, administrative support, fact sheets, and stakeholder briefings for DOE Environmental Management and the Hanford Field Office with an accent on communications strategy, writing, facilitation, media, and event planning. Focus on coordinating stakeholder communications, supporting program and project activities, and strengthening public engagement in a regulated nuclear cleanup environment.

Location: Predominantly onsite at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, United States; some remote support may be approved by the Contracting Officer.

What you will do

  • Provide administrative support, communications, public affairs, and stakeholder relations support for the Hanford Field Office.
  • Develop stakeholder briefings tied to project and program milestones.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and communications strategy in a regulated environmental management environment.
  • Prepare fact sheets and coordinate HAB-related activities.
  • Assist with program and project management support and daily business activities.
  • Coordinate approved travel and support multidisciplinary contractor engagements as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of communications or public affairs experience.
  • Experience with writing, facilitation, media, and event planning.
  • Strong clarity, diplomacy, listening, teamwork, organization, and judgment skills.
  • Work is predominantly conducted onsite at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.
  • Facility Clearance is required; DOE clearance may be required depending on the assigned work.

Nice to have

  • Environmental Management sector experience.
  • DOE or Hanford Field Office experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
