TL;DR
Legal Officer (Commercial Law/Data Privacy): Providing legal advisory support for SGS operations in Vietnam, including commercial contracts, corporate matters, regulatory changes, disputes, licensing, and personal data transfers with an accent on Vietnamese and English legal documentation. Focus on analyzing new services and regulations, supporting privacy and cybersecurity compliance, managing external counsel, and developing legal policies and training.

What you will do
- Advise business teams and corporate functions on enterprise, commercial, civil, labor, intellectual property, regulatory, litigation, dispute management, and resolution matters.
- Analyze new services and regulatory changes affecting operations.
- Draft, review, update, translate, and localize commercial contracts, terms and conditions, templates, and other legal documents in Vietnamese and English.
- Support data privacy activities, including personal data transfer and processing agreements, privacy requirements, internal procedures, regulatory investigations, and business projects.
- Coordinate with Group Legal and external counsel on legal matters.
- Support legal training, policy development, and licensing for regulated services.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in a paralegal role, legal team, or law firm.
- Bachelor's degree in law.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and writing skills in both English and Vietnamese.
- Knowledge of Vietnamese inspection, testing, certification, data privacy, and cybersecurity laws is advantageous.
