Information Technology Auditor (Insurance)

Location: Remote; occasional travel required. hirify.global notes that most roles follow a hybrid workstyle aligned to an hirify.global office, while some roles may be virtual based on role requirements and client needs.

Compensation Range: $95,400–$192,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Plan and lead integrated IT audits and examinations for Risk & Regulatory Consulting clients.
• Develop project plans and work programs, execute engagements against defined scope and objectives, and manage scope changes, budgets, invoices, expenses, and deliverables.
• Build and supervise project teams, review reports and timesheets, conduct status meetings, obtain client sign-off, and escalate issues.
• Support business development by maintaining a professional network, preparing proposals, estimating required skills and hours, and identifying client opportunities.
• Prepare and lead client training sessions, webinars, and presentations, and author trade-magazine articles.
• Mentor consultants, manage career development and performance feedback, and personally deliver billable client work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or Accounting.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in public accounting or professional services, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Professional experience in the insurance industry.
• CISA designation.
• Strong understanding of information systems risk assessments, controls reviews, and cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, Model Audit Rule, COBIT, NIST, and SSAE 16 / SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 reports.
• Experience with IT security across Windows, Unix, routers, switches, databases, web security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, RACF, ACF2, z/OS, wireless, mobile, and cloud environments.
• Project management experience, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and the ability to interact with executives and senior managers.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, analytical, statistical-sampling, organizational, time-management, written, and verbal communication skills; proficiency with presentation, spreadsheet, and project-planning software, including Microsoft products, TeamMate, Access, SQL, Visual Basic, and related applications.
• Self-motivation, strong work ethic, urgency, ethical and professional standards, collaborative leadership, team-building, team-development, and client-service skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Nice to have

• MBA and/or additional professional certifications.
• CISSP or CPA designation.
• Working knowledge of ACL or IDEA data-extraction software.
