Sr. Prin. Supplier Technical Engineer

Location: Onsite five days a week at a supplier in Whitehall, Michigan, United States. Relocation is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year

What you will do

• Provide onsite technical support and act as the primary technical liaison between the supplier and hirify.global.
• Review drawings, models, engineering specifications, and technical requirements to resolve ambiguity and ensure manufacturability.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes, tooling, process controls, inspection methods, and supplier yield issues.
• Support Material Review Board assessments and supplier-side dispositions for non-conforming material.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Validate corrective actions and improve supplier performance and throughput.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent technical field; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, or production engineering.
• Experience with investment casting and the ability to interpret engineering specifications.
• Experience preparing material documents for MRB review and documenting design requirement deviations.
• Understanding of inspection processes, including fixtures and gages, 3D scanning, CMM reports, digital comparators, and ANSI Y14.5.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week in Whitehall, Michigan.

• Experience with internally cooled gas turbine cast airfoil design or manufacturing.
• Non-conforming material evaluation and disposition experience.
• Machining and post-casting operations experience.
• PPAP qualification package documentation experience.
• Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt experience.
