What you will do

  • Define end-to-end architectures for energy generation, battery storage, power conversion, grid connection, and microgrid systems.
  • Architect AC/DC and DC/DC conversion systems using PFC, LLC, PSFB, and bidirectional topologies.
  • Design BESS, BMS, renewable energy, distribution automation, substation monitoring, protection, power quality, and DER integration solutions.
  • Translate customer and market requirements into system requirement documents, reference designs, evaluation platforms, and scalable technical solutions.
  • Optimize system efficiency, power density, thermal performance, and lifetime reliability, including bidirectional energy flows and solid-state transformer-based systems.
  • Collaborate with customers, utilities, renewable developers, storage OEMs, product groups, semiconductor designers, controls engineers, and thermal/mechanical experts on strategic energy opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in energy infrastructure, power electronics, power conversion, and grid-connected systems.
  • Ability to lead architecture activities independently with minimal supervision and align stakeholders across functions.
  • Deep expertise in AC/DC and DC/DC power topologies, MV/LV power distribution, protection, BESS, battery management, grid codes, interconnection standards, and renewable power systems.
  • Knowledge of SiC, GaN, IGBT, and MOSFET-based systems; digital power control; energy management algorithms; metering; and power quality integration.
  • English at minimum B2 level required for communication with global teams, customers, and stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with energy metering and Modbus, IEC 61850, or OCPP protocols.
  • Familiarity with EV charging architectures and vehicle-to-grid integration.
  • Expertise in wide-bandgap SiC/GaN systems and solid-state transformers.
  • Knowledge of energy orchestration frameworks, microgrid control, or digital twins.
  • Experience with PLECS, SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or CFD for system-level modeling and simulation.
