Security of AI Associate Director

Location: Hybrid work in Dallas, Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, Miami, Orlando, or Tampa, United States. Work may take place in local hirify.global offices and on client sites, with local or out-of-state travel. hirify.global is not registered to hire or employ personnel in West Virginia or Alaska.

Salary: $155,000–$264,000 annually, plus a 16% bonus target. Estimated total cash range: $179,800–$306,240.

What you will do

• Lead Security of AI engagements, including AI risk assessments, LLM threat modeling, agentic system security reviews, red team exercises, and governance program design.
• Advise client executives across AI risk assessment, governance, red teaming, secure architecture, and ongoing monitoring.
• Shape Security of AI methodologies, tooling, service offerings, and delivery accelerators.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop managers, senior consultants, and future AI security practitioners.
• Support client pursuits, proposal development, account strategy, and business expansion.
• Build external presence through publications, speaking engagements, and industry working groups.

Requirements

• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including meaningful depth in security architecture, AI/ML security, application security, cloud security, or security consulting.
• At least 3 years in professional services, consulting, or a client-facing advisory role.
• Hands-on experience with prompt injection, data poisoning, model inversion, ML supply-chain threats, agentic-system access control, or LLM-integrated application security.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, the EU AI Act, and sector-specific AI risk guidance.
• Experience owning client relationships, managing multi-workstream engagements, and leading consulting teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience; proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CISA.
