Data Lead (Data Architect)

What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of target data models for an 18-month legacy-to-AWS migration program.
• Define scalable data architecture supporting custody, clearing, settlement, derivatives, and CCP operations.
• Set standards for data modeling, documentation, governance, quality, consistency, and traceability.
• Lead a cross-functional team of data engineers, analysts, and domain experts by organizing work, managing dependencies, and tracking delivery.
• Analyze legacy data structures and translate complex business requirements into reusable data models.
• Collaborate on ETL/ELT transformations, CI/CD practices, and upstream dependencies.

Requirements

• Advanced SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, database design, and relational data modeling experience.
• Advanced Python for data processing and strong hands-on experience with dbt or an equivalent transformation framework.
• Experience designing data warehouses and migrating data to AWS, supported by a solid software development background.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, CI/CD, data governance, data quality, and documentation frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead data teams, structure workflows, assign and track work, and deliver in complex environments.
• Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Capital markets experience, including custody, clearing, settlement, derivatives, or CCP operations.
• AWS data engineering services experience with Glue, Athena, or Redshift.
• Advanced Java, Spring, or Spring Boot development experience.
• Experience with Maven, Git, Bash, Docker, or Podman.
• Experience with API design, enterprise data standards, data lineage, metadata management, or large-scale Oracle-based migrations.
