Federal Tax Services Intern

Location: Baltimore, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required

Compensation: $34–$40 per hour

What you will do

• Work on tax engagements across accounting for income taxes, accounting methods and periods, corporate taxation, federal credits and incentives, individual taxation, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entities, private clients, and not-for-profit organizations.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Interpret tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Collaborate with teams and support client assignments, including travel to assigned client locations.

Requirements

• At least 90 credit hours completed.
• Progress toward a B.A. or B.S. degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Access to reliable transportation and the ability to arrange transportation to assigned client locations.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.

Nice to have

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively on a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
