What you will do
- Perform diagnostic PET/CT and CT imaging procedures, including radiopharmaceutical and IV contrast injections, oral contrast administration, protocol setup, patient positioning, image reconstruction, and filming.
- Transfer, archive, retrieve, print, track, and log patient imaging data and films.
- Support procedure scheduling, front-office functions, patient records, report distribution, and data collection for follow-up and educational materials.
- Apply patient and staff safety standards, including precautions for ionizing radiation and contrast administration.
- Conduct daily scanner quality control, report equipment malfunctions, and coordinate service needs.
- Order office, medical, printing, and archiving supplies.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an AMA-accredited program, or an Associate or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-accredited program with PET/CT certification.
- CNMT and/or ARRT (N) certification and applicable state licensure.
- Three to five years of experience in nuclear medicine and/or previous PET experience is preferred.
- General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or position patients in wheelchairs or stretchers weighing up to 300 pounds.
