Boston Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant (Cybersecurity)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid work combining in-person work at local hirify.global offices and client sites with remote work; local and out-of-state travel may be required. hirify.global is not registered to hire or employ personnel in West Virginia or Alaska.

Salary: $96,000–$143,000 annually, plus a 10% bonus target. Estimated total cash range: $105,600–$157,300.

What you will do

• Facilitate project work plans and support the successful completion of client engagements.
• Assess technology and business risks and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
• Develop audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, control summaries, findings, and recommendations.
• Advise clients on cybersecurity, cloud assurance, technology risk management, IT general controls, data governance, privacy, enterprise applications, resilience, and emerging technologies.
• Use analytics, AI, automation, and other technology enablement tools in audit activities.
• Mentor, train, coach, supervise, and review the work of interns and consultants while coordinating with clients and engagement teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology, cybersecurity, business, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or a related field.
• Understanding of IT audit methodologies and internal control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, and ITIL.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and their technology implications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio and Access are useful.
• Ability to communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives, and to lead and mentor teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or RPA solutions.
• Exposure to cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications, disaster recovery, or systems development methodologies.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or a similar credential.
