Chicago Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hybrid work is required, combining in-person work in local offices and client sites with remote work; local and out-of-state travel may be required. hirify.global is not registered to hire or employ personnel in West Virginia or Alaska.

Salary: $90,000–$134,000 per year, plus a 10% bonus target. Estimated total cash range: $99,000–$147,400.

What you will do

• Lead and facilitate project work plans for Technology Audit & Advisory engagements.
• Assess technology risks, controls, processes, and opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
• Develop audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, control summaries, findings, and recommendations.
• Advise clients on cybersecurity, cloud assurance, technology risk management, ITGC, SOX, data governance, privacy, enterprise applications, and technology resilience.
• Translate technology topics and audit issues for client personnel and executives while building trusted relationships.
• Mentor, train, coach, and supervise interns and consultants, including reviewing work and coordinating across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology, cybersecurity, business, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or a related field.
• Understanding of IT audit methodologies and control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, and ITIL.
• Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and their technology implications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Visio and Access is useful.
• Ability to evaluate, organize, interpret, and communicate data and audit findings, including to executives.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or RPA solutions.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or a similar credential.
• Exposure to enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience with analytics, automation, AI/ML, data privacy, disaster recovery, or systems development methodologies.
