Associate Microbiologist

What you will do

• Support the establishment and maintenance of the microbiology testing laboratory.
• Perform and support facility environmental monitoring sampling.
• Generate and review procedures, reports, and laboratory records.
• Help ensure microbiology testing complies with current Good Manufacturing Practices and FDA guidance.
• Support the design, implementation, qualification, and maintenance of the microbiology laboratory.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant microbiology knowledge or experience.
• Ability to support sterile injectable manufacturing, aseptic processing, and facility qualification activities.
• Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs and stand for 2–3 hours at a time.
• Ability to wear gowning and PPE and perform standing, bending, reaching, and kneeling in aseptic areas for extended periods.
• Full-time onsite work at the Petersburg, Virginia facility is required.
