Predictive Modeler (Machine Learning)

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; hybrid work with initial in-person training, up to 3 days per week from home, and monthly office overlap

What you will do

• Build statistical and machine learning models addressing business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Work with large, complex datasets and develop knowledge of internal data structures and metrics.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present quantitative results to stakeholders using visual displays.
• Create clear documentation for predictive models.
• Monitor model performance and implement iterative improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, economics, or operations research.
• Understanding of statistical modeling or data science concepts, including clustering, regression, and classification.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or other common coding languages.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Professional experience building models with large datasets.
