🧷 Position: Mid-Level Java / PL/SQL Engineer
📍 Location: Limassol | Hybrid

We build payment technology for businesses worldwide. We’re looking for a Mid-Level Java / PL/SQL Engineer to join our Finance Module team and work on mission-critical components such as transaction processing, settlements, reconciliation, and compliance.


🧩 Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL packages for payment processing and settlement logic.
- Develop backend logic in PL/SQL and build frontend interfaces using Oracle APEX Builder.
- Optimize critical database queries and procedures to ensure high performance.
- Participate in architectural discussions and technical decisions within the finance module.
- Design and maintain database schemas and migrations.
- Write technical documentation and participate in code reviews within the team.


🗒 Requirements:

PL/SQL
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Oracle PL/SQL or PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL
- Experience writing procedures, functions, packages, triggers
- Query optimization (execution plans, indexes, hints)
- Experience with bulk operations (FORALL, BULK COLLECT) or similar batch-processing patterns
- Experience working with large datasets (millions of records)

Java
- 3+ years of commercial Java development
- Spring / Spring Boot
- REST API development
- JDBC / JPA / Hibernate or similar ORM
- Understanding of multithreading and transaction management

Databases
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts (normalization, constraints, transactions, isolation levels)
- Experience with schema design, migrations, performance tuning

General
- Git, CI/CD basics
- Understanding of software development lifecycle
- English B1+


✨ Nice to Have:
- Experience in fintech / banking / payments
- Experience with Oracle APEX
- Knowledge of financial calculations (settlement, reconciliation, FX)
- Experience with utPLSQL, Jenkins, or AWS / RDS
