Cloud Architect (AWS)

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery across production Azure environments in Canada and Australia, mapping compute, networking, storage, databases, identity, and CI/CD pipelines to AWS equivalents.
• Evaluate workloads using the 7 R's of Cloud Migration and define optimal target-state architectures.
• Build like-for-like Azure-to-AWS cost comparisons, optimized AWS models, and migration business cases for AWS and board-level review.
• Identify modernization and replatforming opportunities using native AWS services and assess migration implications for Azure Databricks.
• Document migration blockers involving data residency, licensing, and iGaming or betting compliance requirements.
• Lead client workshops and technical Q&A sessions while supporting a phased migration strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or cloud architecture, including structured cloud migration assessments.
• Deep production experience with both Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
• Strong ability to create TCO models and migration business cases for executive and AWS review.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform and solid networking knowledge across VNets, VPCs, peering, VPNs, DNS, and data residency controls.
• Exceptional written and spoken English required.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification at Associate level or higher.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with official AWS MAP Assessment phases and ACE funding submissions.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as online betting, iGaming, fintech, or digital asset marketplaces.
• Familiarity with Azure Databricks and data platform migrations to AWS, including Databricks on AWS, Amazon EMR, or Snowflake.
• Experience presenting technical cost models and migration roadmaps to C-level stakeholders and boards.
