Forensics Litigation & Valuation Services Director (Forensic Accounting and Disputes): Leading complex litigation, disputes, valuation, forensic accounting, and expert witness engagements in Melbourne with an accent on financial analysis, expert reporting, client advisory, and practice development. Focus on developing the litigation and expert witness practice, managing engagement teams, supporting expert testimony, and building relationships across the legal market.
Location: Melbourne, Australia; full-time, on-site. Travel to client meetings and work outside normal business hours may be required.

What you will do
- Lead technically specialised and complex litigation, disputes, valuation, forensic accounting, and expert witness engagements.
- Analyse business and financial data and prepare calculations, schedules, expert reports, and client deliverables.
- Provide financial insight throughout engagements, from case theory development through expert witness testimony.
- Manage client, solicitor, counsel, expert, opposing-party, and stakeholder relationships while overseeing deadlines and quality control.
- Delegate and supervise work, recruit and develop staff, and collaborate with senior colleagues across Melbourne and Asia Pacific.
- Grow the Melbourne litigation and expert witness practice through legal-market relationships, proposals, presentations, and business development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a specialised field.
- At least 10 years of related experience, with substantial experience in litigation support, forensic accounting, damages, valuation, investigations, or disputes advisory.
- Valid CA, ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA, or equivalent licence or certification.
- Existing relationships in the Melbourne and/or Australian legal market, including solicitors, counsel, and other dispute referral sources.
- Strong financial analysis, project management, communication, organisational, interpersonal, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to lead projects, supervise staff, maintain confidentiality and quality, and respond to client demands with flexibility.
Nice to have
- Previous consulting or related industry experience.
- At least eight years of supervisory experience.
- Experience preparing expert reports and supporting or providing expert witness testimony.
- Portable or referable revenue and an existing book of business.
