Lead Engineer, Applications Development (C#/.NET)

Location: Remote from Lagunilla de Heredia, Costa Rica; occasional in-person attendance at work-related events may be required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack solutions for Digital Business Profile products and business data platforms.
• Translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions and deliver medium- to large-scale features from concept through production deployment.
• Develop enterprise software with C#, .NET, Angular, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate in an Agile Scrum environment through planning, design reviews, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership, guide design decisions, mentor junior developers, and coordinate implementation across distributed teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues, support testing and documentation, and participate in an on-call rotation of approximately one week per month.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience delivering enterprise-grade web applications, backend services, and APIs.
• Advanced experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, Entity Framework, Web API, MVC, and Web Forms.
• Experience with large datasets, data-driven architectures, and enterprise RESTful API integration.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP, including scalable application architectures and modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, debugging, Agile delivery, and the software development lifecycle.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience.

• Experience leading technical initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and distributed teams.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures, containerization, and application modernization.
• Experience with business data products or data-driven platforms.
• Mentoring experience and strong presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication skills.
