GCP Architect

What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical direction for project releases and larger programs of work.
• Design and deliver Google Cloud solutions, including AI platforms, analytics platforms, APIs, microservices, and serverless systems.
• Lead development teams or work across multiple teams using agile delivery, DevOps, test automation, and CI/CD practices.
• Design for scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, security, and other non-functional requirements.
• Engage regularly with clients, contribute to proposals and presentations, and support account management.
• Coach and mentor teammates while reviewing code and ensuring delivery quality.

Requirements

• Strong experience in cloud technologies, architecture, and designing and delivering solutions on Google Cloud.
• Background as a software or DevOps engineer using technologies such as Java, Python, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Experience with Google Cloud services such as Cloud Run, Compute Engine, GKE, Vertex AI, BigQuery, Spanner, Dataflow, Composer, Bigtable, or Cloud SQL.
• Knowledge of microservices, containers, serverless systems, event-driven architecture, relational and non-relational databases, and secure development.
• Experience with agile development, architectural and software design patterns, CI/CD, TDD or BDD, test automation, code review, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to lead architectural discussions, own delivery processes, communicate with clients, and mentor teams.

Nice to have

• Google Certified Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, or Cloud Developer qualification.
• Experience with Vertex AI, ADK, Agent Engine, TensorFlow, AutoML, Natural Language, or Vision AI.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud SDK, SQL, Linux, PowerShell, Shell scripting, HTML, CSS, Docker, OpenShift, AWS Lambda, or Cloud Functions.
• Experience with Java ecosystem frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot, Guice, Jersey, Maven, and Gradle.
