Manager, Quality Control - Mortgage Risk Advisory

Location: Remote within the USA, NC

Salary: $96,600–$221,300 per year

What you will do

• Manage and train Quality Control Auditors and oversee audit reports, selections, customer rebuttals, and pre-report delivery.
• Manage pre-funding, post-closing quality control, due diligence, repurchase, early payment default, and red flag/fraud reviews.
• Develop Quality Assurance reviews, auditor scorecards, performance standards, procedures, and manuals.
• Review high volumes of loan activity for completeness, accuracy, document appropriateness, underwriting, and compliance.
• Monitor regulatory changes, identify quality-control trends and irregularities, and implement operational improvements.
• Partner with QC, Compliance, clients, and internal teams to resolve concerns and reduce credit-risk exposures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least five years of mortgage credit underwriting or post-closing QC auditor experience.
• At least five years of management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA/VA, USDA, and state and federal real estate lending compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, technical, communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including the ability to create spreadsheets and documents in Excel and Word.
