Trademark Paralegal

What you will do

• Support attorneys with U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution across offices, including requesting filing instructions, gathering specimens, and submitting documents through USPTO TEAS e-filing.
• Manage trademark applications and dockets from filing through registration, including deadline tracking, docket reviews, renewals, and follow-up with attorneys and clients.
• Coordinate foreign filings with foreign counsel and ensure compliance with country-specific formalities, including notarization and legalization.
• Conduct preliminary trademark clearance searches and research through USPTO, WIPO, and other online trademark resources.
• Support domestic and foreign infringement matters by assembling evidence and maintaining tracking reports.
• Prepare assignment documents and client reporting letters regarding USPTO and foreign counsel correspondence.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a trademark paralegal.
• Knowledge of USPTO procedures under the TMEP and CFR, as well as foreign trademark prosecution procedures.
• Experience conducting trademark clearance searches in U.S. and foreign jurisdictions.
• Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved school or a bachelor's degree in law, administration, or liberal arts.
• Proficiency with computerized docketing systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and capacity to work independently under tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Corsearch, CompuMark, or SAEGIS.
• Experience with PATTSY, IP Master, or similar docketing systems.
