What you will do

• Lead the design of defined project scopes, including process areas, unit operations, and systems.
• Manage scope, budget, schedule, design requirements, open issues, decisions, and required actions.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, construction managers, trade partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare or support technical deliverables, including bid tabulations, vendor packages, factory acceptance testing, risk assessments, HAZOP/HACCP activities, 3D model reviews, and functional specifications.
• Drive discipline and cross-discipline quality checks and support system design programming and planning.
• Mentor junior discipline and design staff.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in a discipline-specific field.
• At least 5 years of experience in an operating company, design firm, or AEC firm serving a related industry.
• Experience developing PFDs, P&IDs, process layouts, and other design deliverables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of applicable industry and regulatory guidance and statutory building codes.
• Ability to perform complex engineering tasks with limited supervision and coordinate design work with project teams, construction partners, and vendors.

Nice to have

• EIT or PE certification.
• Experience supporting construction through RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reports.
• Experience with commissioning, startup, qualification, operation, or troubleshooting of process systems.
