Material Handler II

Salary: $20–$23 per hour

G&W Electric develops engineered electrical power grid solutions and manufactures products for the power industry.

What you will do

• Unload, inspect, move, store, pick, and deliver materials, parts, and products across warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Unload trailers and perform picking and put-away operations using rack and bin systems.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, stackers, hand trucks, and other powered industrial trucks.
• Complete inventory transactions, bin maintenance, cycle counts, production records, and quality documentation.
• Report shortages or damaged materials and inspect work before passing it to the next operation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and resource-efficient work environment and train others when needed.

Requirements

• Forklift certification and 3–5 years of PIT or forklift experience, with demonstrated competence operating sit-down and stand-up equipment.
• Ability to safely operate powered lift equipment and pass written and practical evaluations.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to read and interpret Bills of Material.
• Intermediate computer skills and the ability to complete accurate inventory transactions.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and skill development.
• Ability to perform medium-to-heavy physical work, including continuous standing and walking and lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance.
