Associate GIS Consultant

Location: Denver, Colorado, USA; role based in the Denver office

Salary: USD 60,000–85,000 per year, depending on experience and expertise

What you will do

• Collaborate with GIS teams to deliver complex geospatial solutions.
• Design and develop GIS solutions, datasets, spatial analyses, and workflows for client needs.
• Build Esri web applications and publish feature services through ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Work with project managers and technical leads to estimate effort and provide task updates during scrum calls.
• Communicate directly with clients, gather requirements, lead demonstrations, and respond to requests.
• Apply scripting and programming to improve the efficiency, automation, and scalability of geospatial solutions.

Requirements

• BA/BS in GIS, Geography, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of professional GIS experience with increasing independence and exposure to operational GIS applications.
• Advanced knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Experience with complex vector and raster spatial analysis for planning, operations, or asset management.
• Python experience for geospatial process automation, including tools such as ArcPy, GeoPandas, Pandas, or Shapely.
• Experience with Arcade, relational geospatial databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS or SQL Server, and open-source GIS tools.

Nice to have

• Master of GIS or similar advanced GIS training.
• Experience with asset inventories, data governance, inspection workflows, and GIS integrations with enterprise asset management systems.
• FAA Part 107 Drone License and familiarity with imagery and LiDAR derivative products.
• Experience with engineering applications, REST APIs, ETL processes, and GET/POST requests.
• Experience developing custom JavaScript widgets and managing ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, services, permissions, and integrations.
