GEOINT Analyst (Satellite Communications)

What you will do

• Produce analytical products focused on foreign satellite communications spectrum usage and related operations.
• Analyze SATCOM frequency bands, communication channels, signal types, formatting, and modulation standards.
• Use satellite monitoring capabilities to assess performance and analyze beam footprints, coverage, dish sizes, and ground infrastructure.
• Apply geolocation capabilities to identify and track satellite signal sources and evaluate their operational impact.
• Interpret and correlate intelink data, message traffic, GEOINT, SIGINT, and HUMINT using analytical tools.
• Report actionable insights on signal integrity, reliability, and performance while collaborating across teams.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in geography, intelligence, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or 8–10 years of equivalent experience.
• Proven SATCOM systems experience, including frequency bands, signal types, formatting, and modulation standards.
• Familiarity with satellite monitoring tools, beam footprints, dish sizes, ground infrastructure, and geolocation capabilities.
• Experience working with intelligence data sources and proficiency with tools for processing and interpreting satellite communications data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in geospatial intelligence, electrical engineering, satellite communications, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of modulation techniques, signal formatting, beam patterns, and satellite communications infrastructure.
• Expertise with GEOINT tools and satellite-based geospatial data for operational analysis.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, MATLAB, or other geospatial and analytical software.
• Background in intelligence collection and analysis, including SIGINT, HUMINT, and OSINT.
