TL;DR
Senior Accountant - Fund Accounting (IFRS/US GAAP): Managing client portfolios and preparing complex accounting records, reconciliations, management accounts, and financial statements with an accent on fund accounting, audit coordination, and client reporting. Focus on reviewing financial information, resolving reporting issues, improving processes, and supporting the development of junior team members.
Location: Moka, Mauritius; hybrid work format

What you will do
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and maintain strong client relationships.
- Prepare and review accounting records, complex reconciliations, management accounts, and financial statements.
- Work with clients and auditors to complete financial reporting requirements and audits on time.
- Respond to client queries, resolve reporting issues, and support client obligations.
- Review colleagues’ work, provide guidance, and support the development of junior team members.
- Assist with process improvements, budgets, projects, client deliverables, and operational matters.
Requirements
- Fully qualified ACCA or ACA, and/or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience preparing client financial statements and management accounts, preferably in capital markets, real estate, private equity, or alternative investments.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP; exposure to UK GAAP or other accounting frameworks is advantageous.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of Word and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and support junior colleagues.
Nice to have
- Experience with eFront, Navision, ViewPoint, or Value Financials.
- Experience with UK GAAP or other accounting frameworks.
