TL;DR
Manager - Fund Services (Accounting) (Private Equity and Real Estate Fund Accounting): Leading fund accounting delivery for a portfolio of Private Equity and Real Estate clients, including financial statements, NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, and client reporting with an accent on team leadership, IFRS reporting, controls, and client relationships. Focus on improving and automating fund accounting processes, managing portfolio risks and profitability, and ensuring accurate delivery under regulatory and commercial requirements.
Location: Moka, Mauritius; hybrid work with 2 days in the office

What you will do
- Own a portfolio of Private Equity and Real Estate clients and oversee accurate, timely fund accounting delivery.
- Manage financial statements, NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, reconciliations, tax filings, and statutory reporting.
- Build relationships with clients, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders while resolving issues and managing expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting professionals, including workload management, technical guidance, and deliverable reviews.
- Drive process improvements, resource planning, operational excellence, and automation across fund accounting services.
- Monitor profitability, billing, timesheets, service metrics, risks, controls, governance, and opportunities for additional services.
Requirements
- Fully qualified ACCA or ACA; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
- At least 7 years of post-qualification experience in fund accounting, accounting, audit, or financial services.
- Strong Private Equity and Real Estate Fund Accounting experience, including fund reporting, NAV production, waterfall calculations, and IFRS reporting.
- Proven experience managing, developing, and motivating teams in a fund accounting environment.
- Hands-on experience with eFront, Paxus, and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
