Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote from anywhere in the Philippines; AU business hours.

Salary: AUD 2,700–3,500 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.

hirify.global is a digital agency supporting client websites and applications through a Kubernetes-based hosting platform and AWS infrastructure.

What you will do

• Maintain and strengthen Kubernetes hosting platforms and AWS infrastructure for Drupal and Laravel applications.
• Migrate, configure, optimize, and deploy client applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Monitor platform health, respond to outages and security incidents, and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, DNS, domain records, and SSL/TLS certificate lifecycles.
• Manage identity and access, onboarding and offboarding, device management, SaaS subscriptions, vendors, and infrastructure costs.
• Validate backups, run disaster recovery drills, and maintain security controls and documentation for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 readiness.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, SRE, or in a similar role.
• Strong Linux administration, scripting, and automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, containerized workloads, AWS, and application migration across Kubernetes environments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, production troubleshooting, and incident response.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, identity and access management, least-privilege principles, and governed access-controlled environments.
• Ability to work independently, manage complex infrastructure with minimal supervision, and communicate and document effectively.

Nice to have

• Personal infrastructure projects, home labs, or practical use of AI tools in DevOps workflows.
• Experience hosting Drupal or Laravel applications and working with managed Kubernetes platforms.
• Familiarity with OpsGenie, JAMF, Atlassian Administration, and Google Workspace Administration.
• Experience managing DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, domain lifecycles, and ISO 27001 or SOC 2 audits.
