TL;DR
Market Data Lead (TradFi): Building and leading the market data function for Binance’s Traditional Finance expansion with an accent on exchange and vendor data sourcing, licensing, integration, and governance. Focus on negotiating data agreements, integrating real-time and reference feeds, managing entitlements and data quality, and building a market data team.
Location: Asia; work-from-home arrangement, subject to the nature of the business team.

What you will do
- Define and own the market data strategy and roadmap for the TradFi program.
- Source exchange and vendor data, negotiate commercial terms, manage licensing agreements, renewals, and the data budget.
- Drive feed onboarding, normalization, symbology, reference data, corporate actions, and time-series distribution with engineering.
- Establish governance for entitlements, data quality, lineage, compliance, and exchange audits.
- Partner with product, engineering, legal, compliance, and finance on licensing and redistribution requirements.
- Build and mentor a growing market data team and serve as the internal expert on TradFi market data and market structure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of market data or trading-technology experience at a brokerage, exchange, fintech, or market data vendor.
- Deep knowledge of exchange feeds, vendor products, licensing and redistribution models, entitlements, and audit processes.
- Hands-on experience sourcing and integrating market data across TradFi asset classes and regions.
- Understanding of feed protocols, normalization, symbology standards, corporate actions, and time-series distribution.
- Strong commercial negotiation, vendor management, stakeholder management, and data-budget ownership skills.
Nice to have
- Experience establishing a market data function for a brokerage launching new asset classes or entering new markets.
- Knowledge of APAC, US, and European market data landscapes and exchange policies.
- Technical fluency in SQL and Python, with familiarity with feed protocols and data architectures.
- Familiarity with market data and trading products.
