Senior Gameplay Programmer (Contract)

Salary: $82.74–$100 per hour for a 12-month temporary contract through Yoh Enterprise Solutions.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain gameplay features and systems for enemy, boss, and ally behaviors.
• Drive player experience and feature quality, with a focus on Enemy–Player interactions.
• Architect scalable and extensible behavior systems for diverse environments and gameplay situations.
• Understand and extend complex existing systems and their interfaces.
• Provide technical mentorship through code reviews and support junior developers.
• Estimate work, manage scope, and communicate task status across teams.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience owning and delivering features involving enemy, boss, or ally behaviors.
• Extensive C++ skills and knowledge of programming principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of memory management, performance optimization, and systems interfaces.
• Knowledge of 3D mathematics, linear algebra, and visualization.
• Ability to evaluate proposed features, communicate trade-offs, and advocate for alternatives.
