Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Perform cloud architecture and network security reviews across AWS and selected third-party cloud services.
• Develop scalable security tooling and use AI-augmented tools to improve security operations and development workflows.
• Design and implement AWS guardrails, controls, policy-as-code, and access management frameworks.
• Monitor workload security and integrate detection and alerting into observability systems.
• Secure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation through reproducible, testable, and auditable deployments.
• Partner with engineering, DevOps, product, technology, and compliance stakeholders through reviews, pairing, and design consultation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security or platform engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Python; Kotlin or TypeScript experience is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with AWS IAM, Organizations, SCPs, Identity Center, VPC, compute, storage, logging, and monitoring services.
• Experience designing access management strategies, policy frameworks, workload protection, threat detection, Terraform, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain security tradeoffs and make architectural decisions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and traffic segmentation.
• Contributions to security tooling, open-source projects, or published security research.
• Experience with AI or LLM tools in development or security contexts.
