Head of Events, Consensus (Web3)

Location: New York City; based in NYC with four days per week onsite at the Chelsea office

Salary: $285,000–$340,000 annual base salary, plus discretionary annual target bonus, performance incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy for Consensus and the wider events business.
• Scale attendance, expand the global event footprint, and launch regional events and niche spin-offs.
• Own the events business P&L and partner with Sales on sponsorship packages, ticket pricing, and profitability.
• Oversee data-driven marketing targeting institutional finance, policymakers, mainstream technology, and the crypto community.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across operations, logistics, marketing, programming, and content.
• Direct vendor negotiations, venue selection, and event technology integrations for safe, high-quality experiences serving tens of thousands of attendees.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in large-scale B2B conferences, commercial media, or experiential events.
• Proven experience running flagship events with more than 10,000 attendees.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar P&Ls and understanding event economics, hybrid infrastructure, and sponsorship sales.
• Experience in technology, media, or financial services events is required.
• Strong familiarity with cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech is highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of event platforms such as Cvent, Bizzabo, or Hopin, CRM systems including Salesforce, analytics platforms, and digital marketing stacks.
