Middle Integration Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Develop backend integration components with Java and Spring Boot.
• Build REST API clients, OpenAPI-based APIs, and system-specific adapters.
• Map external API models to internal integration and domain models.
• Develop asynchronous flows using SQS, EventBridge, Lambda, and ECS workers.
• Implement retries, timeouts, idempotency, error handling, logging, and secure service integrations.
• Investigate cross-system defects, create test fixtures, and participate in reviews and integration design sessions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial Java development experience, preferably with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, external service integrations, OpenAPI/Swagger, and synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.
• Practical experience with several AWS services, such as ECS/Fargate, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, S3, Aurora/RDS, or DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, PostgreSQL, integration patterns, idempotency, distributed-system failures, and resilient API integration.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, containers, automated testing, and API security fundamentals including JWT, OAuth2, and OIDC.
• Good English communication skills are required for collaboration in an international team.
