Senior Power BI Data & Dashboard Developer

Location: Lisbon, Portugal, with a hybrid work model allowing up to 3 remote days per week. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business needs.
• Manage BI reporting projects from requirements gathering through deployment.
• Build, optimize, and maintain data models using star and snowflake schemas, DAX, and Power Query.
• Transform, clean, and prepare data to ensure quality and reliability.
• Optimize report performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement data governance and security protocols, including RLS.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and contribute to BI documentation and standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of total IT or data experience, including 3–6+ years in business intelligence or data analytics.
• Independent delivery of end-to-end BI and reporting solutions.
• Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Advanced DAX, data modeling, Power Query (M), and SQL skills.
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and data security, including RLS.
• Fluent written and spoken English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with dbt, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Power BI Report Builder experience with paginated reports.
• Knowledge of Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines for BI deployment.
