Specialist, Impairment Reporting (IFRS 9)

What you will do

• Own the monthly IFRS 9 impairment reporting process and deliver accurate expected credit loss results.
• Analyze portfolio performance, impairment movements, key drivers, emerging risks, and trends.
• Partner with Credit Risk, Finance, and Collections to support business decision-making.
• Assess how lending, customer management, and collections strategies affect impairment outcomes.
• Enhance impairment reporting through PMAs, model parameter updates, validations, and business change initiatives.
• Use Python and SQL to interrogate data, challenge results, and communicate insights to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in IFRS 9 impairment reporting, expected credit loss forecasting, credit risk analytics, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with Python and SQL.
• Understanding of impairment drivers, risk trends, and portfolio performance in lending businesses.
• Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to stakeholders, including senior leaders.
• Organized, proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with PMAs, IFRS 9 models, or impairment methodology.
• Exposure to credit cards, consumer finance, or other unsecured lending products.
• Experience using Power BI and presenting insights to senior leadership.
