Senior Software Engineer C++ (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Drive software architecture, requirements, and design for desktop and server applications.
• Lead software delivery across the lifecycle from requirements through validation while meeting regulatory and quality standards.
• Develop robust native software and improve performance, concurrency, and reliability.
• Implement and continuously improve AI-driven workflows, including agent environments, context engineering, MCP, and HIL integration.
• Drive CI/CD adoption for builds, testing, documentation, and reporting.
• Mentor junior developers and test engineers and contribute to intellectual property and patent activities.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience and at least 2 years of technical leadership.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent qualification.
• Fluent English and intermediate German.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows C++ for desktop and client-server applications, including CMake, Conan, PowerShell, and Python.
• Expertise in modern C++17 or later, STL, smart pointers, template metaprogramming, RAII, memory management, multithreading, concurrency, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with software architecture, cloud technologies and protocols, UML or similar modeling techniques, Agile/Scrum, and Azure DevOps or similar tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated industries or the medical domain.
• Experience with Qt, C#, or gRPC.
