Plan Compliance Specialist (Remote, USA)

Location: Remote within the USA; the position is ideally based in Lexington, Kentucky, or Memphis, Tennessee.

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annual base salary, based on experience, plus eligibility for the company bonus program.

What you will do

• Analyze client census data and complete annual or mid-year nondiscrimination testing for defined contribution plans.
• Perform ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, Coverage, Compensation Nondiscrimination, General Nondiscrimination, and Control Group testing.
• Calculate eligibility provisions, employer allocation projections, year-end allocations, and true-up proposals.
• Prepare Form 5500, Form 8955SSA, Form 5558, Form 5330, and other required government filings.
• Reconcile plan financial statements, prepare audit packages, and support auditors, clients, and internal partners.
• Identify compliance issues, recommend corrective actions, and record workload information for tracking.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of department processes, procedures, and standards.
• Ability to analyze retirement plan census and financial information accurately.
• Ability to ensure participant contributions and benefits remain within IRS and plan limits.
• Ability to learn and perform advanced testing, including new comparability, integrated allocations, and average benefit testing.
• Must be able to work remotely from the USA; Lexington, Kentucky, or Memphis, Tennessee, is preferred.
